Quinlan gave in first. “Fine. Ask him for help.”

“But remind him he’s not in charge,” Cody added. Obi-Wan knew that getting Cody to like Hondo was probably a lost cause, but he still hoped. Cody might put up with the Pirate Captain, but that was the extent of it.

Obi-Wan reached for his comm, dialing in the familiar code.

It took only a moment and then Hondo was answering, an exaggerated scowl on his face. “My betrayer!”

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, not bothering to respond to the all too familiar accusation. “How do you feel about stealing something big?”

Hondo looked like he was debating with himself as to whether he wanted to continue being churlish and accusing or whether he wanted to steal things. Thankfully, in this, Hondo was very predictable. “You have drunken too much, my friend, if you have to ask.”

    Summary

The biggest problem in this galaxy is no one helps each other. It was something Shmi had said constantly, and it was a lesson that Beru knew Owen had taken to heart.

And if there was anyone on this planet that needed help, it was the broken man that Owen hated with all his heart.

When the boy first appeared, Jango had been sure it’d been the spice. Hallucinations were hardly new and the young boy who stared at him with frightened eyes was hardly the strangest thing he saw. Except the boy didn’t go away. Not when Jango killed the slavers. Not when Jango detoxed. Not when Jango left behind all but the scars of his time with the slavers.

Jango hadn’t quite believed in ghosts before, he supposes now he doesn't have a choice.

"You got a way out, Hardeen?” Bane's words were bland enough, but they sounded, just a little bit, like an offer to take ‘Hardeen’ with him. “Got space for two.”

    Summary

    “You collapsed at my feet.”

“So?” Bane countered. “Leave me there, what would it matter?”

“I wasn't going to leave you there,” Kenobi said and Bane snarled at him again, using his weak grip to push himself forward, into Kenobi's chest, fingers restless on his shoulders.

    “Why not?”

Cad Bane gets shot in the head and left for dead. The fact Obi-Wan Kenobi just happens to be on the same planet, shouldn't matter to either of them. But reeling still from the end of the war and all that came with it, maybe Obi-Wan is just really tired of people he knows dying.
