That's pretty much always how it goes in those movies. “Fine,” Jiang Cheng replied, trying not to pay too much attention to the timbre of Nie Mingjue’s voice, the fall of his robes - those things could be altered with cultivation and clever tailoring anyway, there was no way to know. “Sorry.”Jiang Cheng spends some time in Qinghe during the Sunshot Campaign. He blames Nie Huaisang for putting obviously untrue and unfounded ideas in his head - after all, there's no way Nie Mingjue could be anything like him, right?

But he wasn't going to, because this was not a Harlequin book and he was not interested in Steve for anything else besides semi-impersonal, semi-anonymous sex.

Or: Steve and Eddie are both famous musicians. They decide to become fuck buddies. They agree not to fall in love, but get this: in the end they DO. Truly groundbreaking stuff.
