River Cartwright, fresh from calling in a false Code September, and James Webb, fresh from getting himself shot in the name of greater ambitions, are on their way back to London after running a benign errand for Jackson Lamb. A snowstorm and a faulty car have other ideas and instead of getting home safe to go separate ways for the holidays, the two agents get stuck in a small village.

This is based in 2021 and is essentially just a canon divergent version of Harrison in New Blood mixed with the books’ perception of younger Dexter. If there are differences in lore, relationships or events, that is entirely intentional, this is not meant to be an exact copy of the Dexter universe and their interpretations of the characters.OR —
It has been so very long since I’d last seen his face. Of course I’ve seen his face in photographs, old obituaries and the forensics section of Miami Metro’s remembrance page for the pig victims of hurricane Laura. Each foster home I’ve run from, each one I’d requested, always led back to this, to him. To my goal. And now, I’m finally here, I’m almost done.
