Summary
The creature's long, pale fingers clasp an ankle, and he yanks Victor from the tent and across the ice. He does not note the unexpected lightness of his load; it is not so great a difference to one such as him.
He does, however, note the high-pitched screams emanating from the pile of furs he is dragging. “Unhand me! Unhand me at once!” a muffled voice shrieks. The creature pauses in shock. This is not Victor.

She doesn't answer right away, just clutches the bunny tighter to her chest and looks up at him with those big, glassy eyes. She may have gotten Eddie's hair, but she sure as hell got Steve's eyes—massive golden irises and long, thick eyelashes that make her look like Bambi. Especially when she's scared like this. Especially when her bottom lip's wobbling like that.
"Mama won't wake up," she whispers.

Summary
Victor thinks he killed his Creature in the fire and regrets it deeply. Months later, when he returns to Victor to demand a companion, their argument causes havoc, and a guest of the wedding shoots the Creature. Victor saves him, taking the bullet instead.
Victor survives, and the Creature and his Maker allow themselves to know each other at last. As their companionship develops, Victor is troubled by a new feeling.
