Summary
Unforeseen circumstances have temporarily driven the Lark from their familiar territory and have forced them into new situations and adventures as they learn to navigate the changing world around them.
Once again, a collection of one-shots/short stories. Most will be Autumn-ish themed, focusing on Fall activities and things of that nature. But they will not all be like that; there will be some variety.
This volume has a little bit more of an inciting incident at the beginning that guides the rest of the stories in it. However, all the stories can be read on their own without much context. My only advice is to read the first two stories (or at least the second, if the trigger warning for Story 1 is something you don’t want to read about). You do not need to have read Volume 1 to understand this.
Some stories are more serious and intense than others (I can’t help sprinkling angst in when I feel it’s appropriate), but overall, it’s meant to be lighthearted and fun to read. This is why it is rated for all audiences. I will provide trigger warnings.

“Your incredulity pains me,” Alhaitham says, placing a hand on his chest as if he’s in physical pain. “I’m the most sincere person in the world,” Alhaitham continues, knowing that Kaveh will misinterpret his words as quiet mockery.
Sure enough, Kaveh lets out a scoff, as if Alhaitham’s words are nothing but false sanctimony. “Yeah right, and I’m the best person in the world.”
You are, Alhaitham thinks, without any hesitation. You have always been the best.
“Well you’re not exactly a saint,” Alhaitham says instead, because not even Kaveh’s innate goodness equates to perfection and this is, in part, why he almost feels close enough to touch.
(Or, 4 times Alhaitham yearns for the sun, and the 1 time he finally manages to hold it in his hands like a second heartbeat.)

With his thumb, Kaveh twists the ring around, scrunching up his nose in disgust at the simplicity. It’s truly just a plain band—there’s no gem, no intricacy, no design—and it’s so blatantly Alhaitham and so not him that he can’t help but wonder if that’s truly the intent.
But his boyfriend’s is more or less the same in gold, and he gets it. He gets the stupid color, but what’s up with just a band?
With another deep sigh, Kaveh tries to push it aside on his mind and stare back down at the blueprints he was doodling. Whatever the intent, he decides it doesn’t really matter. The point is simple anyway.
There is a ring on his finger, and it’s a promise.
OR five times Kaveh complains about his engagement ring and one time he decides to fix it.
