Summary
Kendra was not the first Slayer called while her predecessor still lived. In 1989, a Slayer's elopement with a partdemon sparked betrayal. Her Watcher locked her Slayer gifts under a heavy seal and set her up to meet her end at demon hands. She barely survived. After reviving her, her sister and husband smuggled her to safety. After a long recovery, the presumed dead Slayer made herself a normal life across the country.
