In this moment, maybe it would have been the socially appropriate response to retort, laugh it off, employ the tried and tested method of fuelling his own self-deprecation once more. Say something like yeah right, as if you could make that happen. As if you could make Namjoon fall back in love with me. But Jungkook doesn’t do any of that. He just hums in acknowledgment, and looks out at the view. Some of the clouds clear up and he can see a single star in the sky. Or maybe it’s a satellite, he doesn’t care.Some of the darkness leaves. And he knows that it has nothing to do with Namjoon, but everything to do with how, that night, Jungkook makes a friend.
Jungkook is just a first-year student trying to navigate the turbulent currents of college life, armed only with an extroverted roommate and the biggest crush on his TA, Kim Namjoon. However everything changes when he collided bicycles with Yoongi - said crush's roommate.
