Summary
A sharp crack tears through the air. Mike flinches back, staring down at Will's lifeless body. He gets one last look before the ground is giving way beneath them, and all at once, they’re falling.
A shrill cry tears from Mike’s throat as he finds himself flailing through the open sky. A sharp crack of lightning shutters in the distance. Will's limp corpse contorts, dropping faster than he can. He’s screaming, unimaginable terror ripping through his body. He writhes, reaching for Will, crying the boy's name.
He’s falling, plummeting through a destabilized upside down and there's nothing he can do to stop it. He’s going to die.
Mike reaches out, eyes squeezed close. He tears the watch from Will's wrist, seconds before colliding with the Exotic Matter.
.
OR
Colliding with Exotic matter as the Upside Down collapses in on itself sends Mike hurtling through time. He’s given the chance to save Will before any of this starts.
But he can’t seem to get it right. Reliving moments throughout the years, helpless to warn Will. He just wants to keep him safe. Why can’t he keep him safe?
He’ll do this again and again until he gets it right. He won’t lose him again.

Summary
It’s the complete opposite of what they are doing right now, though. This has nothing to do with lust, or desire, or the feeling of wanting more. This is letting someone in, and even though Theo hates letting people in, he lets Boris do it this time. Because pulling up walls is something so exhausting, so extremely tiring, that he simply can’t do it anymore. Not again. Not tonight.
Or, in which Theo has another panic attack and Boris is there to calm him down.

Summary
“I want to show you a trick,” Boris said brightly, taking another quick drag off the joint. His lips quirked up at the sides.
Theo only knew a few, so he raised his eyebrows in interest. “Yeah? What is it?”
“I think is called shotgun. Is fun.” Boris grinned, leaning closer. “Let me show you.”
OR,
Boris shows Theo a trick and Theo, the pining idiot, realizes the two of them might be more than friends.

Summary
"Boris," suddenly my voice sounds wobbly and uncertain, as though I were about to cry. "You're important to me too. You can't...you have to take care of yourself." He cracks an eye open at that, expression lost somewhere between pain and amusement.
"But you don't remember."

Summary
He was here, seven years later. The outline of his cigarette pack visible in his pants pocket. His thick, tobacco-laced cough. His dimples. His elbow against mine, my knee against his thigh, his cold fingers tangling with mine as he handed me the plastic straw—and my heartbeat, which had never taken the time to slow down since the frat house.
It’s just Boris, just Boris, just Boris, I kept telling myself. But it was Boris—grown, who had become everything he could have been in the best possible way, and I didn't know how to act around him without being sick in the stomach.
Or: Boris and Theo bump into each other in New York, at a frat party, seven years after Vegas.
