Summary
What measures a hero? Is it the circumstances of birth, or is it one’s actions? Is it the warrant of one’s parents, or is it one’s own drive?
Ruby, and her cousin turned stepsister, Yang, are forced to care for each other ahead of their goal of Beacon: for the stigmata of culture is not easily forgotten, and the yoke weighs heavy on the pair in their homeland of Rhodes, desperate to escape the duties that would be levied by their ancestral families of diplomacy and war each.
Weiss Schnee’s upbringing is quite strenuous, traveling between Argus to see her remarried father’s family and remarried mother and stepsister as she prepares to take the company one day, with some difficulties in coping properly.
And Princess Blake Belladonna finds herself under the tutelage of a dangerous pair of firebrands: her Aunt Sienna, and her right-hand man, Adam Rainer Taurus.
For the World of Remnant is wide, and they find themself on a path of heroes and harrows, a path clad in stars and woven together, bound by fate.

Summary
The Space Between, the Crack Between Worlds, the Root of Reality. Whatever you call it, this space has wormed its way into nearly every universes creation myths, stories of changelings, people falling into magical other realms and returning with wealth or scars, stories of those that go out on day and simply disappear from reality.
The Space Between is a utopia, a hell scape, a twisting Fey realm that changes all that touch it. For one Ruby Rose it will greatly alter her own destiny, for better or for worse.
The Space Between is a personal AU of mine that's been rolling around in my head for a while. It's inspired by Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (unfortunately) RWBY (Obviously), My own dreams, Dreams Underfoot by Charles de Lint, The Prince of Neither Here Nor There by Sean Cullen, and Un Lun Dun by China Mieville. A mix of urban fantasy, adventure, Fey horror and the trauma that being separated can cause. The Space Between will follow Ruby through her arrival and beyond.

Ruby was overwhelmed, she had lost everything, her mother to disappearance, her father to alcoholism and despair, and now possibly her sister, to grimm drawn towards her negativity. This is the story of Scarlet, the girl who ran.
Or “what if Ruby (and by extension Yang) were even more traumatized?” also I may have messed with the power scaling... have fun updates every other day (okay I lied I update on odd numbered days, I don’t know why but I just do) assuming I don't get writers block or have three events in a row or my adhd messes with my sense of time or... Yeah, you get it.
