Summary
When Echo let himself be convinced by Wrecker to join the Batch in celebrating their latest successful mission, this wasn’t what he’d expected. He’d assumed they’d hit some dimly lit bar, drank a few shots and stumble back to the ship to sleep it off.
Simple, predictable, low effort.
The fact that the giant clone had handed him a neatly folded set of civilian clothes, the nice ones, should have been his first clue that the night would be anything but ordinary. -

While dealing with immense grief and trauma, Echo feels drawn to Clone Force 99, especially Wrecker and Tech. Ever since they rescued him on Skako Minor he's felt a strange pull towards them. He wants to get to know them more.

Summary
Throughout his life, Echo had prided himself on being a steady, professional, level headed headmaster. Hell, even if he wanted to forget that, there's a newspaper article on the wall to confirm how professional and respected he was, even after the car accident that took his arm and left him with more scars than just the visible ones.
And there they are, Omega's guardians - tattooed, crass, gruff, wearing more leather than the inside of a luxury car and with a lingering scent of cigarettes. Their relationship should be nothing more than the occasional parent-teacher meetings to iron out a few hiccups. Absolutely nothing more.
And yet Echo can't stop himself from thinking about them.
