Summary
Illuga always takes time to say his goodbyes. Between Lightkeepers, one can never know which farewell might be their last. All the more reason to part with safe wishes and a promise to come back.
Perhaps that is why he never understood what happened five years ago. How could Flins simply walk away, without a word, leaving everything and everyone behind?
Now this devil is back, waltzing into the briefing room as if nothing ever happened. And Illuga would rather face a horde of Wild Hunt than the one man who haunts his dreams.

Summary
Each month, on the full moon, Flins experiences a spike in desire. Perhaps it’s old Fae instincts, or a biological cycle, the Lightkeeper has long forgotten. It’s never been more than an inconvenience in the past, but that has changed. Now that The Doctor is defeated and the true Frost Moon revealed, Flins’s cycles have become overwhelming.
In his attempt to find solitude to wait out another full moon, Flins runs into Varka. The Knight instantly thinks something is wrong, and in his concern, offers shelter.
Not to be impolite, Flins agrees... Not knowing what the Frost Moon's heat will bring.

Flins pulls away then, before they have the chance to properly touch, before the warmth leaves a stain on his form that will not dissolve. And Illuga looks at him— he looks, and his expression is utterly broken, “Then why won't you?”
“You deserve better than a monster in disguise. — A fae ‘loves’ with its teeth. All we know is to claim, own and take, take, take—”
Flins believes himself to have the heart of a beast, Illuga loves him anyways — together, they learn to make things work.
