Summary
Eighteen years have passed since the death of Sultan Oasis of the Sahran Sultanate, killed by a scavenger's thunderspear. A war of succession has encompassed all major tribes of Pyrrhia, killing dozens of thousands of dragons, the bloodiest war in draconic history.
An elaborate plan by the Talons of Peace is created to end the war, and seven dragonets become caught in the crossfire.
(AU where the RainWings are part of the War, and the prophecy includes all of the original 7 tribes)

The thing is, he’s had study nights and tv marathons in Chowder’s room. He’s gotten stoned in Shitty’s, and Lardo’s, crashed on Jack’s floor after a kegster, gone to Bitty’s for advice, and checked Ransom and Holster’s for ghosts. If it were anyone else’s, Nursey would at least have some indicator of what was going on, because he’d be able to recognise the decorations, the layout.
But Derek Nurse wakes up in William Poindexter’s room and has no idea where the fuck he is.

“I don’t. I mean, not really. People think it’s this majestic, all knowing force, but it’s a lot more like a child, always watching, always learning. When it connects with us, it tunes into every fiber of our being. It doesn’t know anything at first, we shape it with our every thought, our every use, every action. We’re its compass, moral or otherwise. You know what they say, what goes around comes around, that’s very literal here. I just…learned that a lot sooner than others do. They take from the world, so it learns to take. I give of myself, and only myself, so it gives in return…"
He glanced down at his hands, examining them carefully as they glowed faintly in the moonlight.
