Summary
There’s a man in Henry’s bedroom. That, itself, isn’t noteworthy. He’s become rather proficient at smuggling men in and out of his room at Kensington Palace and his first-year flat at Oxford.
It’s not even especially noteworthy that the man is quite arresting. For better or worse, Henry’s title and reputation tend to help him pull gorgeous men with somewhat astonishing frequency. This man is, of course, particularly gorgeous. He’s tall, with olive skin, dark hair, and a bone structure that would send the old masters into a frenzy of pigments, linseed oil, and canvas.
But, perhaps, the most noteworthy thing is that the man in Henry’s bedroom is quickly and awkwardly wiping his eyes with the backs of his hands. That he seems just as surprised to see Henry as Henry is to see him.
Or, the handwavey, time-travelly, astral-projectiony, canon-smooshy AU nobody asked for, but we're giving it to you anyway.

Alex visits a low-profile sex club following a pretty ugly breakup, even though casual companionship isn't really his thing. But Henry gets under his skin from the jump, knowledgable and confident and, most importantly, experienced, and Alex is curious enough that he can't say no. Doesn't even want to.

But Henry’s arms are around him, and it feels like it’s a spring afternoon in Brooklyn.

Like Alex is moving in with his boyfriend, and they’ve got a home together now, and he’s starting to live for himself, not anybody else. It’s his heart spilling with the sun onto every surface, lighting the whole place up, making it sing, and-
Alex thinly avoids slamming the moving box onto the ground, but it doesn’t matter either way, because he’s taking Henry’s face in his hands and kissing him.
