Summary
“That’ll do it!” The Merchant’s voice praises over the speaker. Leon keeps his gun raised, breathing heavily. The aching in his shoulders brought him back to reality, reminding him where he was. He lowers the gun, subtly glancing at Luis behind him. Leon doesn’t know why he has a sudden urge to be seen by Luis; to have his skills be applauded. When his eyes landed on Luis, however, he was looking towards the exit. Had he even watched Leon?
Leon frowns, feeling surprisingly crestfallen at this thought. He felt a hot flush crawl up his neck, embarrassed at his ridiculous urges. He scoffs lightly, beginning to walk towards the printer. Why did he suddenly crave attention from Luis? Leon has never cared for that before, so why should he now? Picking up his scorecard, he glances behind him, seeing that Luis hasn’t moved an inch. Despite himself, a frown tugged at his lips, a sense of failure washing over him.
Looking back at his card, Leon suddenly feels less excited about achieving the S-Rank. Something felt different this time; it didn’t feel rewarding.

A Cactus for your Thoughts? by arsle, hpewrld15

Summary
Leon didn't think much about the cacti at first. They were just plants, easy enough to care for, but it hit him harder than expected when one of them died. A cactus was supposed to be something that didn't need constant attention, something that could handle itself. But each time one withered, something in him seemed to follow suit.
Every time Chris showed up with a new cactus, it felt like another chance; a redemption. Though, the pattern didn't change. He'd do everything right—water it, check the light—but in the end, it always seemed to surmount to nothing. Maybe the dull ache he felt wasn't about the cacti, maybe it was the sense of failure that followed; the feeling that everything he came in contact with faded just as quick.
Maybe it wasn't the cacti that needed saving.
OR Five times a Redfield got Leon a cactus, and the one time they didn't need to.

Summary
“Who are you? And what are you doing here?”
What is—?
He’s…
He’s awake. He’s upright. The fire splitting his spine is entirely gone. Instead there’s a fist pressed against his chest nearly hard enough to bruise, keeping him pinned to the wall behind him.
And Leon Kennedy is glaring at him, eyes angry and distrusting—and cold, that’s the strange thing. Cold, as if Luis didn’t take his last breath before those very same eyes not thirty seconds ago.
(Or: Luis, in a time loop.)

genuinely one of the best reads i've had in a LONG time. add onto having "steady" by bella kay blaring in my ears on repeat and you've got a perfect story (especially when luis is deciding whether to smooch leon). I LOVE THEM WITH ALL MY HEART. and i despise capcom

Summary
A police uniform. It was what Leon had dreamed about wearing ever since he was a little boy. Now it hung before him, and all he can think is that the blue didn't mask red as much as he'd wish it did.
