Ekko scoffed, smirking. “Ha ha.” His response was quiet and almost distant: “I was just… thinking about stuff.”
“Dangerous but okay, " she shoots back easily. Then, “Wanna shotgun?” Ekko almost thought it was a dream. Her voice sounded too clear and crisp like his imagination was taunting him.
“Huh?” The word flows before Ekko can stop it.
