Summary
Alexandria prospers under the rule of the Avatar of Mestionora, Lady Rozemyne. After years of planning and restraint Aub Alexandria and her husband are finally able to welcome their first child into the world; their daughter was expected to be born in early spring, but instead she was born late in the winter. To make matters worse, at least in the eyes of her parents, her mana seems to be touched by winter divinity and her elements are completely unbalanced. The gods had nearly killed Rozemyne in their haste to save their precious garden. The gods had already used Rozemyne's thread to save Ferdinand, shaving an unknown amount of time off her life. What more could the gods ask of her? What do the gods want with the first daughter of Alexandria?
