Summary
While Tony's assistance with all of Peter's technological needs has been invaluable, he hasn't managed to be much of a mentor when it comes to the actual hero aspect of being a powered person. After a chance encounter, Peter finds himself being mentored by none other than Daredevil with no shortage of guest-taught lessons from the older vigilante's friends and acquaintances. This exposure to the grittier side of the city and vigilantism as a whole leads Peter to discover a conspiratorial plot to destroy New York City.

Everything was still hazy, and nearly indistinguishable from the darkness that had fallen since sunset when he’d first come to the harbor. There were two things he noticed however, before passing out again on the shore.
The first, a pair of jewel-bright blue eyes peered down at him, the rest of this person’s face hidden by the backlighting of a nearby street lamp.
The second, Dazai registered with muted alarm as the stranger retreated back into the water, was the smash of a large tail against the waves.

Law swallows the lump in his throat. "Luffy," he says, and he can tell the rare use of his given name gives him the other captain's full attention. "Roger called me--he called me a god. A fledgling one." He watches as Luffy's eyes widen in the silence that stretches between them, before laying out the conclusion he'd regretfully come to.
"I don't think this is going to stop. For any of us."
"You fix people, though," Luffy says, and there should be nothing in this world that makes that man's voice shake like that. Maybe that's the problem; they've definitely stepped outside the bounds of the world they know.
"I don't think I can fix this."
What happens when the world believes in you so much, that you start becoming something more?
What if it's something you never wanted to be?
