Last Jason checked, Roy’s toy box under their bed didn’t contain a riding crop. “You went shopping while I was away?”
“Nope.” Roy popped the word obnoxiously. Jason could just picture the insufferably sexy grin on his face. Had to picture it, in fact, because in this position the only view he had was the sheets, and his own hands already fisted in them.
“This,” another swish, another electrifying sting, higher up this time, “is one of my arrows.”
Or: Jason was supposed to be home eleven days ago. Roy makes it known how missed he was.

“There’s plenty of people on two, sure,” Roy was saying. “Present company included. But three? No way.”
“Think about how many people have shared teams with them. If those other teams are anything like the Titans, someone surely has.” Kory’s tone was light, as if stating the obvious.
Jason ground his teeth and seriously considered the merits of another few hours in the supply closet.
Or: Roy, Kory and friends inflict immeasurable psychic damage upon one Jason Todd. If he has to hear another word about sex and his siblings uttered in the same breath, Jason’s gonna start shooting. Maybe himself. Anything to exit this conversation.

"They're watching me," Jason says, when Daisy Mae has left.
"Who, the drag queens?" Tim says. His face is an inch from Jason's chest, and when the strobe lights flash their way he can see a drop of sweat moving down Jason's pecs. His mind feels staticky, bouncing from general outrage to a general desire to put his mouth on Jason's skin. He's too horny to be rational about any of this.
