Zelda is only three when she loses her mother. Sonia and Rauru, their own children having left the nest, see this tiny blonde Hylian child and decide she is theirs. Zelda doesn't argue, because she rather liked Sonia and Rauru.

Essentially a teeny tiny Zelda goes back in time, gets parented properly, and is happy for a while. Urbosa misses her little bird though.
This turned out sadder than I expected it to be.

She certainly did not expect supernatural deaths and a resurgence of the Upside Down. But perhaps even more unexpected was Nancy Wheeler.
