Summary
Stiles is just trying to prevent the next supernatural problem from killing his friends. Derek is just trying to keep his pack alive (and ignore the desperation that crawls under his skin whenever Stiles is near).
When Stiles goes into the preserve to investigate a string of murders, he and Derek are kidnapped by an unknown group and locked in a basement with no escape. Each night brings new suffering, and each day they have only each other.
The two will have to learn how to lean on one another to keep their sanity intact, and they’ll have to work together to escape.
Too bad they annoy the shit out of each other.

Derek isn’t sure what terrifies him more: getting lost in the dark with no one to help him or Stiles recognizing the pieces of himself hidden in the pages.

Derek stood to his full height, taking a step closer to Stiles as he placed his thumb and forefinger against Stiles’ chin. He was gentle in his prompting—the gentlest he had been since the last time he had held Cora as a baby. “I would never make you hunt. I would never make you kill.”
Stiles blinked, his mouth partially parting. But he didn’t know what to say.
“I never wish that feeling on anyone,” Derek finally stated, dropping his hand from Stiles.

As time went on, and reality set in, the magic behind all those colors seemed to fade and he found he preferred blue. It was always a good primary color, reliable, and well-liked. No one disliked the color blue....
