As they piled into the pizzamobile and Hopper started the drive back to the Wheelers, Will felt a deep sense of dread wash over him. He chose to ignore it for now. Why couldn’t he have just one good thing without it being ruined?
Will glanced over at Mike and Jonathan, the former of which was smiling softly out the window, clearly glad that it was over. El, whose head was resting in her older brother’s lap, was beginning to wake up as well. She still looked incredibly worn out, but then again, who wouldn’t be after saving the world for the 4th time in a row?The rest of the group came rushing out as soon as they pulled up to the house. Hugs were exchanged and tearful smiles could be seen on everyone’s faces. Will felt like he was getting déjà vu when Dustin raised his arms and cheered, causing everyone to laugh softly as more tears flowed down their cheeks.

His ex-wife was the last thing Hopper expected to see on a random Tuesday in Hawkins. The last time he had spoken to her was in 1983, over 3 years ago. Now, it is the middle of December in 1986, and he was getting groceries for tonight’s dinner. Hopper halted his steps, hesitating on what to do for a moment, before remembering what Joyce had told him a few months ago.
Or: Hopper runs into Diane while at the store. He invites her over for dinner, and she finds out that he now has a whole family with three kids and a wife. They talk.

Summary
Max walked up to the Wheeler's front door as the rain poured down heavily. It was a cold November evening, and Max hadn’t even grabbed a jacket when she left, still in her thin, long-sleeved shirt from earlier that day. Her teeth are chattering as she rubs her hands up and down her arms, subconsciously trying to bring some warmth back to her freezing body. She doesn’t notice these things, though. Her only thought was that she needed to get somewhere safe.
As she reaches the Wheeler's door, she hesitates for a moment, not knowing if he would even care enough, it’s not like they were friends or anything, but then she remembers why she found herself walking the familiar path to Mike’s house after she escaped through her bedroom window. “Right,” she thinks to herself, “it’s Mike. It’s not like he’s going to throw me out or something… hopefully.” Before she can talk herself out of it further, she knocks on the door.
