Summary
“I’m serious, Ken. Kenny, you’re really free now, bro.” Stewy says. “You’re free from them.”
Kendall’s hand comes to slip into his. Stewy notices, for the first time, two jagged, red lines on the inside of Kendall’s wrist.
“Hey, Ken, what the fuck.” Stewy says softly, catching Kendall’s wrist in his hand.
“I’m fine.” Kendall says.

Summary
Kendall snakes an arm around Stewy’s waist and Stewy encloses Kendall in his arms. He hasn’t held Kendall like this in years maybe. He feels both rusty and reflexive. Nervous and completely at ease.
“Frank said he thinks Dad loved me.” Kendall says.
Stewy watches the names scroll against the black backdrop. “He had a shitty way of showing love, man.”

God, he’s been picking up the pieces for a mopey, strung out, kicked puppy version of Kendall for over a year now. Kendall’s sudden surge of confidence, however unjustified, turns him on, reminds him of the Kendall he had started to think only existed in his daydreams.

Summary
“God, I missed you.” Kendall says before he can stop himself. He can’t quite meet Stewy’s eyes anymore. Stewy’s eyes darken. He smiles, rueful, before he drops Kendall’s gaze and pours himself another drink.
“C’mon, man.” Stewy whispers.

Summary
“It was hard for them. Shiv and Rome,” Kendall continues, maybe because he still has the bandwidth to sense Stewy’s growing concern. “We had it out with Dad. They’re not used to that. The things he can say. How it can feel.”
“How it can feel,” Stewy echoes.
“Uh huh.” Kendall says.
“How does it feel for you?” Stewy asks.
--Stewy learns about the pool incident.

Summary
Sokka replayed the words in his head, surely he hadn’t heard that right. “I’m sorry, what did you just say?”
Iroh looked down, perhaps in shame, perhaps in sadness that even though his nephew had grown stronger and had finally learned to care about others and let them care for him, he still wouldn’t discuss that day. “Zuko has not told you the reason he was sent to find the Avatar in the first place.”
(or, Sokka finds out how Zuko got his scar)

Summary
“I think he’s sick.” Bato says flatly. “So unless you want the next meeting to include the Fire Lord puking all over the budget scrolls, maybe see if he's okay?”
Hakoda glances up the hallway, like perhaps Katara will appear and take over dealing with the prickly teenager. Of course, his daughter is off treating injured refugees with the Avatar, and Bato is still staring at him expectantly, arms crossed.
“Fine,” He sighs, and he claps Bato on the cheek before heading into the room.
Or: Zuko falls ill not long after Ozai's defeat. Hakoda sits with him and learns some unpleasant truths about his childhood.

Summary
Dean’s extended period of self-discovery and inner reflection, of addressing all those fleeting little notions of his that maybe weren’t so little or fleeting after all, had culminated in one inescapable, terrifying fact.
He’s in love with Cas. Hopelessly, completely, embarrassingly in love with him.
They’ve just never had what they needed to explore this before, never had time, solitude, a real moment to breathe.
But they have it now, Dean thinks. He’s made damn sure of that.
