Arthur pulled back, his breath coming in heavy gasps, his face just inches from Merlin’s. His voice was a low growl, barely a whisper. “Tell me to stop now... or never,” he said, his eyes searching Merlin’s face, his gaze intense and searching for some sign, some acknowledgment.
Merlin’s eyes flickered, caught between desire, duty, and fear. He glanced around the room, his gaze fleetingly brushing over the faces of the knights who stood, unmoving and silent, their expressions unreadable.

Summary
Jim is heading towards a personal crisis. Their mission is vitally important: to find a new home world for the Vulcan race in the face of alien opposition.
