Brightmoon Valley was a little village with a population of three thousand people in the middle of the Etheria Highlands - a huge mountain range, famous for its huge canyons and rivers and waterfalls, and that encompasses almost sixty cities - some big, like Eternia, but mostly small villages, like Brighmoon. So, yeah, if you’re not an adventurous person that likes being around nature, you don’t have much to do in Moonstone at all or Brightmoon for that matter.

OrAdora runs a camp in the middle of paradise itself. Catra is a backpacker who exchanges work for accommodation.

"For the last four years, Catra’s routine had been the same.
Every day, she woke up just after dawn; left the comfort of her own bed to go prepare food for her, her husband, and whatever guests they might have; and checked the supply of ale in the cellar.
Then, she would make sure all the mugs and glasses were clean. Once people started rolling in, usually just after noon, the bar would be wiped down and the musicians she employed would be setting up. She would make idle conversation with the others and finish cleaning up until the first groups of men looking for a drink showed up with pockets that clinked and jingled with coins, and then the rest of the night would be spent cleaning mugs and pouring ale.
Catra had resigned herself to this life with a sort of detached acceptance.

“Hooking up?” And then Adora just can’t stop, “Oh, no, I’m not hooking up. I mean. I have, but not now. Not, uh, a thing I do really. Um...yeah.”
Catra is kind enough to try to hold back her smile.
“Well, you just made this super awkward,” she breathes out. “I was gonna ask if your friend was single. You're hot and all. But every word out of your mouth has been a total bummer, not gonna lie.”
Adora has died and gone to lesbian hell. She always knew it would come to this.
__Adora Gray's life is on track, just the way she likes it – ever steady, no surprises. And then Catra Morgan crashes her birthday party and turns everything upside down by dating her best friend Glimmer and making Adora fall for her.
That's fine! Adora is not panicked at all, thank you very much. She has some detailed, multi-step plans to ignore her growing feelings and navigate this all. But Catra, and her past, have a pesky tendency of showing up and throwing everything for a loop.

Summary
Since she can read, Adora is a fan of old tales and folklore about sorcery and magical creatures, but this is only shared by her friend Bow. One day, the two of discover something that is clearly not natural and soon, two women calling themselves magicians appear at Adora's door, telling her that she can join the magical acadamy Mystacor. Always overshadowed by her brother, there is nothing that Adora would rather do than disappear from this place, but her parents are against it.
To make things worse, Bow gets transferred to a different school and leaves Adora behind without saying goodbye. She tries to seek comfort with that stray cat she found on her way to school, until the cat follows her home once.
Will Adora find another way to join that school? And is that cat really just a cat?--------------------------------
