“Can dogs even get colds from humans?” Bood asks. A couple of players murmur but nobody seems to have an answer.
“Maybe she’s pregnant,” Troy unhelpfully supplies and Shane physically braces himself for his husband’s reaction.
“Pregnant?” is Ilya’s incredulous reply from across the ice. At this point, they’re not practicing at all anymore; everyone is much more interested in hearing out Anya’s supposed illness and even Coach Wiebe has joined the huddle.
