Usually, there was at least one Darling female in the family to carry on the name, and the legacy, but his sister and mother had died while he was very young, leaving him as the only remaining Darling heir. He knew the story. All the Darling females were visited by Peter Pan at least once in their lives. Either during childhood, or right after. But what happens if there’s only a Darling male? And what happens if Peter never comes?
