Fucking hell.
“Fine,” she mumbles into her cup.
As excited as a puppy let off its leash, Cass immediately drops her innocent facade and spills, “Helena was just telling Renee and me what she would say to her targets when she killed them.”
“Oh really?” Dinah asks while making a plate for herself -- her eyebrows raise in surprise while her lips quirk into a teasing grin, “Why is that a secret?”
Harley makes some indecipherable noises before grabbing a cup and chugging its contents. She hits her chest twice before burping loudly. She tries once more, “Yeah, c’mon, tell us! Didya wish them a one way ticket to hell or sumthang?”
With a pink tint on her cheeks, Helena reluctantly mumbles it out.
Cass snickers as she grabs two slices for Renee and then two for herself. When she passes the plate back to Renee, they share a look and are obviously trying to stifle their laughter.
Helena knows she promised to stop killing but maybe two more won’t hurt so much.
“What was that?” Dinah asks.
“Do you know who I am!” Helena yells out indignantly; her face a deep red now.

It is not until she is standing at the top of the steps in the palace’s main courtyard, a crowd of the handful of people whose love for her she questions only on her worst days dispersed in front of her—and her old self would be surprised to learn by how many former adversaries this crowd contains—that Azula calms. It is also not until, at the end of the courtyard, flanked by Mai on one side and Suki on another, Ty Lee appears in radiant red, that Azula allows her shoulders to relax and the muscles of her face to lift into a smile.
