Summary
Park Seonghwa never imagined his quiet life would unravel with a single phone call.
“You will marry Kim Hongjoong. It’s not a choice.” His father’s voice was sharp and steady on the other side of the line he left no room for negotiation.
The Kim family—cold, feared, and haunted by a violent past—offered an arranged marriage to get an heir for the family.
But the man Seonghwa is supposed to wed doesn’t even show up to meet him on the first meeting.
Instead, Seonghwa faces the cold truth from Hongjoong’s father:
“If anything happens to my son, you inherit everything. The fortune. The protection.”
Seonghwa wants no part of this. He did not want wealth born from blood. He did not want safety purchased with someone else’s life.
He did not want anyone to get hurt. But the choice isn’t his to make especially that his father gave his words to Mr. Kim.
When asked, “Are you willing to marry my son?” he hesitates… then quietly agrees.
Because deep down, he knows this marriage is more than a contract for both families.
Will Seonghwa survive the man who refuses to love him?

Summary
“I Googled it,” Minho tells him. “When we were looking for attorneys. I just wanted to see if there were things out there that we hadn’t thought about, or—”
“Minho, we can’t get married,” Jisung says. “It’s not an option.”
Minho flinches, like Jisung struck him rather than freed him from the burden of legally tying their lives together and filing expensive and fraudulent paperwork with a government agency. “Why not?”
It was one thing to have to explain it to Changbin, but Jisung doesn’t even know how to begin to have this conversation with Minho. “What do you mean ‘why not’?” he says instead. “We can’t get married so I can stay here! It’s fraud!”
Minho shushes him. “If we’re going to do this, you need to not go around yelling ‘fraud.’”
(Jisung’s student visa is about to expire, requiring creative solutions. Marrying his best friend he’s down bad for might not be the best idea for more than one reason.)

When he opens his eyes again, Wooyoung is staring down at him.
“So, how does it feel?,” Wooyoung asks.
Hongjoong blinks up at him.
“What? Being obliterated?”
“No, knowing you found your fated mate.”
Hongjoong jumps to sit up.
“What?,” he repeats.
“I can explain it in more detail, but it makes a lot of sense when you think about it."
Hongjoong rubs his head, feeling the oncoming headache.
“Oh my god, shut up, we are not fated mates.”

Summary
Before handing it over, King Maelor crouched slightly, close enough that the omega flinched almost imperceptibly. “Look at me,” he commanded in Velaryn.
The boy obeyed slowly, lifting his gaze until warm amber eyes met the king’s. They were striking, but dulled, their light smothered into something quiet and resigned.
King Maelor’s mouth curved faintly. “Be good.”
Only then did he drop the key into Chan’s palm with a soft clink of metal, straightened, and stepped aside. “I hope you enjoy him, King Chan.”
