Summary
The man gapes, face switching from disbelief to outrage in seconds. “Are you fuckin’-- I’m twenty-two!”
Neal snorts, undignified and free, and Peter is lost. “You’re fifteen.”
“I got older.” It sounds more like a belief than a fact. Like a desperate call of look, see who I am. See how time has grabbed me and changed me and aged my soul.
“Little Wing,” Neal says mournfully, face so full of love and grief and hope and despair that Peter feels something in his heart shift. “You never made it to sixteen.”

There's a stranger in Neal's apartment. Neal's pretending he isn't real and Peter just wanted a drink and the stranger is not impressed.

Summary
“You’re working with cops,” the kid said. It wasn’t a question. Pure judgment and distain wrapped into four words. More opinionated on the police system than Peter was comfortable with for a kid barely out of elementary school.
Neal crossed his arms. “I am.”
“B hates cops.”
“B hates a lot of things.”
“He hates cops especially.”“If I wasn’t allowed to do half the things B hated, I’d be unemployed,” Neal replied, voice drier than Peter had ever heard. “And a Monk.”

Summary
Neal (Dick Greyson) has to attend a presentation on a group white collar is helping organized crime take down. Unfortunately, the Malones are part of the presentation and Noah Malone (Dick(Neal)) is definitely in it and the picture they’re painting of his alias isn’t flattering at all.
"Noah, as an alias, was never supposed to be used long term. He was a long term cover of course, but he wasn’t meant to exist 24/7. He was shocking and terrifying. He was meant to come in and overwhelm whatever enemy’s plan they were trying to uncover, then flit away into the background. Noah was the allusive monster his more involved siblings, like Jason, used to form and motivate their own identities. He was the ripcord you pulled to add some shock and awe, not a daily occurrence."
OR: Dick tries to keep his identities straight and secret after the team finds out about his Malone alias. The stress and the amount of identities he is juggling leads to a breakdown.

Summary
Peter and Neal’s relationship has always been a series and push and pulls. One step forward and then two steps back. However, in time, there had evolved a kind of guarded trust between them. But there were certain lines neither wanted to cross, and Neal’s actions, although well-intentioned, had created an impasse that could destroy that bond. Neal feels adrift until someone from his past unexpectedly appears at his door. Written for the “White Collar New Year” January prompt of “Breaking a Resolution.”
