Summary
If there’s one word Kaveh could use to describe his life, it would be “ordinary”. Sure, the start of his life looks more like a sad drama movie with the death of his father, being abandoned by his mother, then being treated like luggage as he was passed from one relative to another. But he grew up, got a job working as a corporate slave, and became self-sufficient enough to pay his rent while not starving. Currently, his job is tedious, and the only joy in his life comes from spending his evenings at home alone, designing and building little houses in the game "My Little Aranara Friend", but things could be worse!
It becomes worse in the blink of an eye. He dies. And not only is he forcefully transported into the world of "My Little Aranara Friend", but he's also stuck in the body of a mob monster called a Fungus where his only hope of getting a human body is by levelling up.
...And also by saving the Aranara from mass extinction caused by some malevolent mysterious dark power called "The Withering" that, if left unchecked, will also destroy the world.

Summary
Zuko encounters the destruction his nation has caused head-on, causing him to abandon his mission to capture the Avatar early. To uplift him, he learns the ways of the original firebending masters, becomes a humble tea server, and lives neutrally on Kyoshi Island.
All under the name Lee.
When the Avatar comes back from seemingly nowhere, Zuko must realize that hiding from his destiny was never going to stop him from finding his full potential.

Summary
Unbeknownst to each other, Alberu Crossman, first son of the Crossman family and heir to the Roan Corporation, and Cale Henituse, first son of the Henituse family and well-known high-society trash, both plan to steal the exact same high priced painting on the exact same night. But when they have to hide from the police, the only place is a broom closet. Neither of them particularly appreciate being stuck in close quarters with the other masked idiot who ruined their respective heists.
When that harrowing and rather ironic night ends, Alberu thought he was done with the infuriating man who extorted him. Cale thought he would never see the bastard who shoved him in a closet again.
They meet less than a week later, at a gala.
And of course, they recognize each other immediately.Modern AU in which Alberu and Cale are grudgingly coworkers by day and grudgingly partners in crime by night. The "grudgingly" part is (eventually) debatable.
