As is Mistress Bethany, who you… who you know will not be returning from the Circle, Messere, on any permanent basis.”
“Bodahn,” Garrett hissed.
“Will you leave their rooms empty forever?”
“It’s hardly been forever,” Garrett snapped. The roiling in his gut was starting to push up into his throat, and yet even more than the urge to vomit he felt the need, felt a visceral, desperate urge to return to his room, a sense of impending doom and a horrific sort of certainty that something must be wrong, that Anders and Fenris would not be there, would not be safe.

“You’re so tense, mage,” Fenris replied, passing the wine once more down to him. Anders paused his treatment and took an obliging sip, with none of the earlier protestations or delay, before again passing back the bottle and taking up the tools of his trade.
“I can’t imagine why,” Anders huffed in response, tucking an errant strand of hair behind his ear. “Anyone should feel perfectly safe getting drunk in the home of a man who wants them dead.”
Fenris chuckled at that, with that deep, dark voice of his. “This is not what me wanting someone dead looks like, mage.”
“Oh, how comforting,” Anders grumbled, and then he was pulling out a needle and thread for stitches.

“Hawke,” Fenris said, his tone warning even as he gazed down at Anders with an intensity that had Anders’s chest heaving. “We should talk to him first.”
“He’ll like it,” Garrett replied, rubbing Anders’s foot once more, and Anders could feel saliva pooling in the corners of his mouth as he moaned helplessly. “I know he’ll like it. I promise he’ll like it.”
“He gets the chance to say yes or no."
“I –iike ih,” Anders rasped wetly, his consonants breaking as Fenris held his jaw firmly open with the brutal grip of his calloused hand.
Garrett and Fenris both laughed at him, then; Garrett with that deep chested boom of his, and Fenris more softly, more of a chuckle.
“You don’t know what ‘it’ is,” Fenris said, condescending, yes, but still with a smile.
“I –ooh wha—shex ish.”

MJ is in California chasing her dreams, Harry’s undergoing treatment for his mental health and isn’t allowed visitors (not that it matters since they blacklisted Peter after last time), and Gwen… Well.
