In Chapter 26, when Olruggio thinks Coco's matching bracelet is a sign of her crush, he and Qifrey have a conversation about how to best handle their apprentice's possible budding feelings. This is Olruggio's pov.

Coco was allowed to have her crush. To want to wear matching bracelets and explore her feelings. To linger in the sweet novelty of fresh love, before she learns about the depth of heartbreak.
And Olruggio knew Qifrey didn’t get it. There isn’t a lot his best friend doesn’t get. In fact, Olly spent much of their childhood wishing a bit more coasted over that head soft white hair, like the rumors and gossip around the Great Hall. It’s why he’s such a smart and kind professor to their girls. But he knows the fumbling explorations of a crush are one such blind spot.
It still feels odd, not remembering when they switched tassels, but Olly knows why he would have agreed.
