Summary
Loki’s fingers, pale, thin things with the nails chewed off, dig into the flesh of his own palm. It’s hard to reconcile the Loki who killed eighty people in one day with the Loki that’s now sitting next to them, who’s trying to reduce the points of impact by holding himself tightly. It makes Tony wonder if maybe they were wrong about a few things.

Tony Stark gets a new assignment, courtesy of Shield; keep watch over the God of mischief, who was recently banished from his homeworld of Asgard. Tony is in hiding, presumed dead by the world save for a few friends after the events that transpired in New York. He's dug himself into a decommissioned missile silo, and he doesn't have much else to do but keep close watch over Loki. Things swiftly go downhill from there.
