Jughead kisses Archie for the first time in the old truck, leant over the handbrake, with the orange glow of the streetlamp bouncing off them both. Thinking just for one, fragile, moment, that he’ll never be able to write anything encapsulating this feeling.

Summary
It was almost too easy to get back to normal.
Burgers, walking home together, hanging out in his treehouse. It was easy again. Comfortable. Normal. Jughead could feel the slick weight from the summer start to uncoil itself from his belly and dissipate over the weeks that followed Archie's apology at the football game. It wasn’t gone, and he wasn’t fine, but each day was a little easier.
OR
The boys actually hash stuff out and have a super necessary talk. Jughead yells a bit, Archie feels bad, Jug feels worse, everyone apologizes, and the world continues to spin.

Jughead's really good at the English language.
He knows how to be sarcastic, sardonic, witty. He knows how to make jokes and give speeches and when he swears, it sounds like poetry.
Archie loves this about him.
But when Archie touches him, cards fingers through his hair, presses thumbs to his hipbones, leaves fingerprints on his thighs –
He’s a mess.
Archie thinks he might love this the most.
OR
Archie skillfully turns Jughead into a mess because they have time alone and he wants to. Essentially, an homage to Jughead's inability to be eloquent when turned on.
