Ink black iris met dark brown.
And in that moment, Elmina couldn’t believe her eyes. In front of them was a night full of stars, and Marceline was staring at her.The brunette looked out of breath, she noticed. Her chest was rising and falling irregularly, as if her life depended on every uneven exhale and inhale. Their breaths mixed in the freezing air, faces only moments away from touching. And if she looked deeply enough into the brunette’s dark hazel eyes, she could spot the tiniest glint of gold.
