Stories like theirs did not beget earnest endings. The love was there, but oceans could not wax and wane on love alone. The tides of fate decreed that intent and consequence would be pulled apart, and the world would be left drowning in the waves that crashed between.
She was never so grateful to be wrong.

“Pretend I am a lady then, a good one. With a fine dress and blood silver enough to know what I’m doing. Ask me properly.”
It took him a moment to catch on. It was a mitigation of his blunder, a method to still maneuver into joining him. She was wrapping him into another one of her games. His lips curled.
Very well. One was never too old to play a little pretend.
(In which Emmrich is thankful that the curriculum for the Mourn Watch included dance lessons.)

Summary
Cicero has arrived at the Falkreath Sanctuary, and it is even worse than he had thought. The place is filthy, the contracts are muddled, and the tenets have been completely revoked. It seems that some of them do not even honor the Night Mother, and prefer to find solace in their local mistress instead. He must change this. Perhaps the unchild can help, or the old wizard, or maybe, just maybe, the sick little elf that sits by herself in the corner. He doesn’t particularly like her, too quiet, but at least she seems to have interest in the old ways.
Is this family still the Brotherhood? Or something else? Something new. Something different. Something wrong?
Something wrong.

Summary
The Warden Commander has been inducted into a symbol of heroism and bravery. They saved Ferelden, and perhaps even all of Thedas, through the strength of their own will and perseverance. They are not invincible, however. Occasionally, after a dozen bloody days of battling darkspawn, after grueling hours toiling over the wartable, the Commander needs a break. During times like these, the Hero of Ferelden is known to slip a stack of tightly-bound letters from their pack, reading them until they regain the motivation to return to their duties.
These letters are rumored to be from a mysterious Antivan lover, who misses his Warden very much.

Summary
You have to wonder what people can get away with when they're speaking another language. They could be saying anything. Mutter a dirty joke, point out your terrible taste in fashion, or perhaps even declare their undying love for you. It would make no difference. You'd never know.
Zevran uses this miscommunication to his advantage. He cares deeply for the Warden, that much is clear. He's just not quite ready to admit it to them yet. So in the meantime, he uses his Antivan as an outlet for his confessions.
They'll never know. Right?
