From the U.S. National Weather Service page of the Fujiwhara Effect:
When two hurricanes spinning in the same direction pass close enough to each other, they begin an intense dance around their common center. If one hurricane is a lot stronger than the other, the smaller one will orbit it and eventually come crashing into its vortex to be absorbed. Two storms closer in strength can gravitate towards each other until they reach a common point and merge, or merely spin each other around for a while before shooting off on their own paths. In rare occasions, the effect is additive when the hurricanes come together, resulting in one larger storm instead of two smaller ones.
In other words: stories of two storm sorcerors who reunite in Avernus, bound by a bloodline both arcane and unholy.

Summary
The year is 1942 and after more than a century of relative peace, Europe has been thrown into war once again. However, he feels overwhelmed by this responsibility and wants nothing more than to retire from the public eye even as he knows that's not truly an option.
It was a average autumn day when Temeraire took some time to visit the resting spot of his dearly departed companion. And it was at this time, when Temeraire wished for nothing more than to have his steady guidance once more in his life, that the impossible happened.

Yesterday, Linda was on her way to Target to buy a birthday present for her granddaughter.
Today, Linda is infected with some parasite in the most horrifying environment imaginable. Even worse, she's surrounded by a band of misfits: a magical bearded man who talks too much, an odd little Goth girl with bangs that desperately need a trim, an angry alien lady who won't quit sharpening her sword, a disturbingly pale elf who needs some bronzer, and a heroic young man with one eye.
This can't be real... can it? Surely she's having a psychotic break.
Tomorrow, she'll wake up and this will all be some kind of nightmare. She's sure of it.

The others are worried, snapping at each other in harsh tones around the edge of the campfire, yet despite their issues, they move forward – if he can’t keep up, he’ll get left behind. Maybe, if he can be useful, they’ll keep him around.

“The only way to fight tax law is with tax law,” Astarion said primly, and Tav grinned a little.
“And bribery?” he asked knowingly.

Years have passed since the fall of the Netherbrain and of Cazador, but it seems that the past has come back to haunt Astarion and his lover, the former Chosen of Bhaal-- in the form of two decades' worth of back taxes, apparently, the vampire lord's last insult from beyond the grave.
Or, Tav and Astarion plan a fake wedding to avoid paying taxes on the Szarr estate. Featuring 'retired' heroes, competent!Astarion, accidental crime lords, politics, fancy dress parties, and the mortifying ordeal of realizing that your mortal lover is getting older and that it only makes them more attractive.
