A voice rang out, rippling through the dreamscape like a gong overhead.
The little boy continued to cry, his wails seeming to swim through Izuku’s ears, his tears threatening to drown them both in their intensity.
“I just wanted….!”
A sense of stomach dropping dread filled the teen, watching the boy stumble into the darkness around them. A sense of bone deep knowledge that that child shouldn’t be here. That neither of them should be here, and to stay here was more than dangerous.
It was a death wish.
“Please! I’m not going to hurt you!” Izuku cried out after the boy, as the space between them seemed to stretch, the boy drawing farther and farther away by the second. “I just want to help you!”
“Please!” Izuku shouted, reaching a desperate hand towards the boy, the ink rising up to his chin, threatening to drown him in the black muck.
“I just wanted to play!”
