A bunch of poorly trained children summon a pride demon to the human realm by accident. Their mistake is detective Kakashi's gain, as the demon, Iruka, is quite possibly the most handsome creature that he has ever laid eye on. Too bad he isn't known for his charm and Iruka clearly hates him.
Or does he?
As Iruka helps Kakashi solve his latest case, they start to get to know each other and something blossoms that neither thought possible.

Kakashi comes back from a mission with a strange seal stuck to his wrist, so Sakura dumps him on Iruka’s couch. Kakashi is chakra depleted and plagued with nightmares, but still has the will power to be a flirty little shit. Iruka just has to keep them both breathing long enough to fix everything.
KakaIru in their emotional hurt/comfort era. Let damaged but functional characters be seen and loved.

Just then, Iruka thought of something, something brilliantly stupid. “I’ll bet you on that” he mutters loud enough for the purple haired woman to hear before drinking his beverage.
Oh no.
“Oh yeah, Umino? You wanna bet?” Anko grinned, licking her lips “Cause I’m all in. If he isn’t here by month end, I’m calling him a lying stinking bum AND you buy me a new trench coat.”
“Fine,” Iruka says, slamming the empty glass cup. “Month end. If I win, you serenade Ibiki in front of his students.”
“I’ll bet your ass on that!” Anko cheers, slamming her fist on the table. “You're on, Umino.”
Or, Iruka has a secret: he’s dating someone. Well, sort of, kinda. It’s complicated. He didn’t actually think online dating would work but for the past six months, he’s been in utter bliss. After hanging out at a bar with friends, he runs into a small issue. Well, two actually. One, Iruka has never seen his boyfriend’s face and two, his friends don’t believe him.
