Summary
The house had yellow walls and pale wood trim in all the rooms. The floors were linoleum, except the bathroom and the kitchen which had tile. Juwon cleaned the bathroom sink and the mirror every day with wipes, even though Dongsik didn’t leave much to clean. He only shaved every other day at most, and would rub raspily at his chin when his stubble got too long. Juwon would have hated the sound if it was anyone else. Instead he found the soft scratchy noise inoffensive, like the whir of wheels on an exercise bike.
Juwon moves in unannounced.

Juwon breaks himself apart and puts himself back together, then he returns to Manyang thinking he’s found his way home. In part, it’s true. He’s just wrong about one thing—home doesn’t have to be a place. Sometimes, it can exist in a person. And it’s unfortunate, because Dongsik starts feeling a lot like home.
