Summary
Riding courier along the long line of the Noldorin Siege, Celechwes of the Falas couldn’t help developing favorites among the strange, bright-eyed elves from the West. Namely, Fingon the Valiant, Prince of Dor-lómin, who always ran down the steps of his tower to fetch his own missives, who smiled with determination even on those days he didn’t smile with natural cheer; and Maedhros the Tall, stern Lord of cold Himring, who only seemed to smile at letters from his valiant cousin (and oh how it lit up his face).
What was she supposed to do but try to help them fix their family’s stupid, Doom-tempting schisms?

much like any other fic that involves the house of finwe it’s inevitably going to be sad. But at least there IS a happy ending— even if its only the last chapters.

Summary
"Everything is going to be fine, McKay."
He doesn't know that, of course. He has no possible way of knowing that. McKay is so tired at this point that she couldn't care less about professionalism when she finally snaps, "With all due respect, Dr. Abbot, that's pretty hard to believe coming from the guy sitting in jail next to me."

This might be a worse mistake than the one she is avoiding, but how's that old saying go again? If you're going through hell, keep going? Well, Walsh is in hell, but she draws the line at asking Jack Abbot for directions.

Summary
“Are you this worried about all your colleagues’ hydration?” Emery responds testily.
“I don’t exactly have a vested interest in the well-being of the rest of my colleagues,” he says, voice dripping with sarcasm as he turns to face her.
“If Robby crashes out, you might finally get a promotion.”
Emery and Jack before, during, and after the MCI.

Summary
“You got married for the healthcare benefits?”
“Anything to game the system.” You shrugged, and Jack nodded in agreement without hesitation.Or, you find yourself in need of a life saving surgery, and Jack finds himself with fantastic healthcare, a spare bedroom, and a free day to go to the courthouse and take advantage of the health insurance spousal benefits. Who's to say a marriage can't be a little agreement between totally platonic, not at all romantic, never-going-to-get-crushes-on-each-other coworkers?
