They’ve got a good thing going here.
Katsuki moved in with Shouto right out of high school, they’re both killing it as heroes, and most importantly, they’ve got this roommate thing down to a science.
It’s not that Katsuki can’t stand being without him, but maybe things are just better when Shouto’s around, and they’re good together, like all decent roommates should be.
So on the rare occasion that he’s gone, it’s pretty fucking awful, and now it looks like Katsuki might be approaching a future where Shouto doesn’t want to be here at all, and it’s Katsuki’s own fault.
If only he knew what he did to piss him off like this.

It’s an accident, mostly. Shouto wakes up later than usual and goes down to the common areas still in his pajamas. He doesn’t think about it. About how close he is to his heat or how wide the neckline of his shirt has gotten after repeated wear to bed. He doesn’t think about it, but then Bakugou takes one look at him and he’s rushing over and tugging off his sweatshirt and putting it on Shouto instead with an unjustified sort of urgency.
Shouto stares. “Bakugou,” he says softly, face red, eyes wide.
“Shut up,” Bakugou says, and then he’s nosing at Shouto’s scent gland, and Shouto realizes oh, this is an opportunity.
Or: Shouto presents, and realizes people are, ahem, nicer to omegas. He takes shameless advantage of this, and Bakugou suffers.

Bam’s eyes widened and time seemed to skip—standing in the shadowed opening. The grim glance that Isu tossed at him. Shoulders beneath his hands as he pushed his way to see. And.
Khun. Curled up. Shirt bloody. Hair matted with sweat. Eyes shut. Panting. His clothes wrinkled. A makeshift cast.
Bam’s whole world tilted. “What happened.”
