Set in an alternate S3 timeline of Tower of God—after Twenty-Fifth Baam is forced to agree to the Lo Po Bia family head’s martial arts tournament (held to choose a spouse) to rescue Ha Jinsung, he escapes smoothly with help from Yuri Ha and members of the Po Bidau family. Now, he arrives at the Po Bidau family’s floating mothership to meet Gustang Po Bidau—a divergence from the original manga’s plot, making this a canon-divergent AU. Some scenes are fictionalized or modified from the original (even though the author tried their best to wrap up loose ends, by the later parts they lost track of what they were writing orz).
The characters adopt the appearances of [Revolution] Twenty-Fifth Baam and [Stingray] Rachel from Tower of God: New World (let’s just say the S3 character designs in the original manga are… well, if you know, you know), though some S3 design elements are still retained. Additionally, note that Baam has dark/feral tendencies ⚠️—there may be OOC moments and logical plot holes. Over a month after driving the suitors from his kingdom, an unexpected visitor comes with a message Khun can't ignore.
"Are you just going to follow me around all night, or are you going to tell me what you're here for?" Aguero called out, tucking a hand in his sleeve.
Silence. He grasped at the hilt of his hidden dagger, keeping his breathing steady.
The scrape of movement against cobblestone rang out, and Aguero pivoted out of the way as a flash of silver flew toward him. Pain seared across his cheek in its wake, the blade clattering against the wall behind him.
"You've gotten slow," a familiar voice followed the blade. "Unless you mean to tell me that you let me hit you on purpose."

This is a "getting back into writing" piece since I haven’t done fanfiction in ages. The timeline is set in Season 2, before Khun and his group head to the Hand of Arlene. I originally planned to make it a serialized work, but it got too long—so I decided to post the parts I was most eager to write first, haha. I’ve taken some creative liberties with the original plot and made minor alterations. Both characters from the source material are complex and multi-dimensional; I tried my best to keep them consistent, but by the end, I honestly lost track of what I was even writing. 😂 There might be instances of OOC (Out of Character) and plot holes—this is purely my own inexperience showing, sorry about that! (￣ ￣)σ

He did not kill Khun Eduan, and for a moment, he lets himself believe it. He feels only the surprise of Viole himself standing before him, and the surprise of his cruel father’s early grave.
Bam looks away.
Aguero remembers he is a murderer.
The four-day train ride to the capital is supposed to be luxurious, and Bam wholly intends to bask in it. That is, until Lord Khun Eduan is murdered in his sleep, and all eyes turn to Bam for the most high-profile case he has ever been assigned. But Bam is the world's greatest homicide detective for a reason, and by the time he is reaquainted with his master in the capital, he swears he'll have answers for the king.
Essentially: Aguero kills his father, Bam takes on the case, Shibisu desperately tries to hold the train together, and Rak is a cat.
