So being kidnapped to BE a test subject should double suck. Instead Leona found it triple sucked, maybe even quadruple sucked for one reason and one reason alone.

Not for being their kidnapper (technically), because that would make sense wouldn’t it. No, she made the situation suck for something a tad more… absurd.

For prompt #1, confession.
The message comes at 3am but Idia’s still awake – of course he is. It comes to his old Night Raven College magicam address, not his new and official STYX one. He almost passes it by until he sees it’s from Leona Kingscholar. (His old inbox is almost full, Idia saved all the messages in it – some form Muscle Red, a few from Cater, a handful from Azul and of course the small thread of mail from Leona. Mostly it’s a series of times and dates for chess matches but there’s a few other times that past-Idia has put little emojis and faces next to. (High school was a different time, he was a different person, but it still makes him flush with embarrassment when he scrolls through and sees.)

Leona never asked for help and never asked for favors.

Most of the time, Leona helps Idia piece himself back together, handling his panic attacks and meltdowns with more kindliness than anyone would expect from the loutish prince.
Most of the time, Idia allows himself to crumble in Leona’s muscular arms and express all of the inner ramblings of his incoherent brain knowing that his boyfriend will somehow always understand him.
