"Tell me, Will: was there ever a point in your past when you were attracted to another man? You may not have acted on it. I'm only asking what you may have felt."
"What?" Will's mouth fell open. "No—I… No." The answer was short. Supposedly certain… but Hannibal caught Will’s shifty-eyed look as he reached for the glass of water on the bedside table. His mouth must be feeling dry.
"What were you going to say?" he pressed.
Will's jaw twitched, contorting the scar carved into his cheek by the Dragon's knife. He took his time to answer, taking tiny sips of water… until, finally:
“I kissed another boy once as a kid.”
It's the morning after his first time with Hannibal, and Will Graham discovers—or rediscovers—a truth about himself.
