    Summary

When the car passes a group of Bedouins, Lawrence spots a familiar face and makes a quick decision.

    “Stop!”

The car came to a screeching halt, and Lawrence jumped out of it without bothering with an explanation. His driver called after him, but Lawrence ignored him, running towards the group of Bedouins. “Ali!”

    Summary

Ali has plans for a quiet evening, but he hasn't factored in Lawrence.

Time passed, and the sun had nearly set in the West when the flap of the tent was pushed aside… and a camel foal gazed curiously inside.

“What in the Prophet's name…?” Ali jumped to his feet with his riding crop in hand, stalking towards the animal as it teetered on the edge of deciding to step inside. Whoever was in charge of that beast would be punished for his carelessness.

    Summary

"Not all of us here enjoy the privilege of being famous because we appeared on BBC," Ali begins, his mouth twisting into a sly smile. That might seem strange to Lawrence, but he doesn't really care. "Are the English so easily impressed by a little polished eloquence and a pleasant smile?" he asks sincerely, unaware of the unintentional compliment he's paid to the man in front of him.

A man who certainly needs no further confirmation of both his cultural background and his handsome physical appearance.

"Oh, so you find my smile pleasant?" is the point-blank question Lawrence asks Ali, and Ali wants nothing more than to wipe that cocky expression off his face by any means necessary.

    With a punch, possibly.
