Summary
"Nance," Robin replies, quiet, and she can hear the need stretching her voice thin. She doesn't know what to say, doesn't know exactly how to explain to Nancy what she wants right now, doesn't even know if it's okay for her to want that from Nancy (seeing as they're still hovering around the awkward situationship phase). There's a beat of silence, so still that Robin can practically hear Nancy breathing, and then Nancy responds.
"What is it that you want, baby?" Nancy asks, and Robin's breath catches at the unfamiliar endearment. It sounds so lovely coming from Nancy's lips, in that teasing tone, that Robin's eyes slide closed for a second. Yes, she thinks, and Christ, it's embarrassing for her to feel that pulse of arousal at a single sentence over the phone, but apparently, that's where she's at now.
