    Objectively, Dan decided, he was an awful person. First, he watched Phil get off like some sort of sexual deviant, and now he was lying to him about being sick and making him feel concerned. He felt embarrassed, in some ways, and he didn’t like how that stirred low in his gut and conflicted with how turned-on he’d felt last night. Or more over, how the shame and embarrassment seemed to cause some sort of byproduct of arousal.

    He decided the subject was best left untouched for now as he couldn’t come up with a resolution, so instead cleared his throat and gathered up his bowl. Maybe he could google why he’s suddenly getting semis when he’s feeling embarrassed. Surely there would be a Quora post about it.
