Summary
Blade's skin is already stitching itself up, closing around his fingers. It's an, objectively, horrific process up close. Skin growing layer by layer, stretching unnaturally around where Dan Heng's bloodied fingers are still frozen. If he focuses, he can feel—nerves wrapping around his fingers. Fat and muscle adapting to his presence. Blade's body reshaping itself around him, pulling him closer.
It's disturbing. It's disgusting.
It's terrifyingly intimate.

…But why should he? They're both certainly comfortable. The room is dim and peaceful, and the bed is, admittedly, softer than his floor mattress. March gets grumpy when she doesn't get enough sleep, and Caelus' sleep schedule is so bizarre he can't bring himself to interrupt the rest they do get. -
