"Maybe I wanna take a ride on you, too," Wise suggests, letting a coy smile rise to the surface as he takes another sip from the canteen. "Think you might be up for that, sometime?"
Lighter's mouth goes slack for a moment before he collects himself. "Whoa," he says, and then hesitates. Oh yeah, that's definitely a flush spilling across his cheeks. "You, uh. You sure you mean that?"
"Well, we're standing face to face. Can't try to blame this one on my phone being hacked," Wise points out playfully, enjoying the scent of blood in the water. He steps closer, watching the movements of Lighter's eyes tracking him behind those tinted lenses. He wants to see that pretty green shade again. "So I guess I must be serious."
Lighter swallows, looking him up and down. Maybe he doesn't realize that in this lighting, Wise can tell exactly how much his gaze lingers.
The boys go for a ride together in the Outer Ring for the first time. Wise decides to put it all out there and gets a nice little return on his investment. (If anything about Lighter can be called little...)

Summary
What Lighter didn’t know was how good Wise is at self photography as he stared at a small stack of glossy films spilled out in front of him.
At a set of nudes.
He didn’t mean to make a sound, but it slips out anyways—a strangled little noise stuck somewhere between a gasp and a choke, like he got sucker punched hard in the head.
The quick escalation of how a discovery of artistic nudes of his best friend—who may or may not be his crush— leads him down the road of a love confession and filming Wise in intimate situations.
He’s loving every second of it.

A man is crouching in front of a golden retriever, sunset and towering trees serving as his glorious backdrop. The sunlight plays a leaf-patterns across the crease of his jacket staining his dark hair, where a glinting pair of shades sit, into a warm bronze. Red scarf flutters with each brush of the evening breeze. And yet, the boldness of its color is not what his gaze is drawn to.
It’s the bright grin stretching across his face.
